Alaris® Syringe module Features

Syringe Volume Detection enables the system to automatically detect the fluid volume in a syringe when it is inserted into the Alaris® Syringe module. This prevents programming of an infusion volume that is larger than the volume of the syringe.

When ALL Mode is enabled and selected as the volume to be infused (VTBI), the entire contents of the syringe will be delivered. A numeric VTBI value can also be entered by clearing the ALL option and entering the desired amount. If a KVO has been established, a hospital defined amount may remain in the syringe to facilitate delivery of the KVO Rate. The defined amount remaining in the syringe will trigger the KVO function.

Near End of Infusion (NEOI) allows an alert to sound anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes before the infusion is complete. You can press the silence key to silence the alert. The audio alert will not reoccur once it has been silenced.
